CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY
November 11, 1919 was the first Armistice Day. June 4, 1926 seven years later
Congress passed a concurrent resolution to observe November 11th with appropriate
ceremonies. May 13, 1938, the legal holiday of Armistice Day was passed into law.
In 1953 a Kansas shoe store owner introduced the idea to expand Armistice Day to
celebrate all veterans. May 1954 President Eisenhower signed it into law. On
November 8, 1954, congress amended this day to be changed from Armistice Day to
Veterans Day.
In real estate, we talk about knowing your numbers. On November 11th we should
perhaps thank a number of veterans who served the country we all call home. Thank
them for your freedom. It is easy to get caught up in the day to day fight called making a
living, but without the efforts of many brave soldiers this day would look very different
from what it is today. Because of the efforts of thousands of veterans we enjoy many
things taken for granted.
Imagine a day without freedom of travel.
Imagine not having enough food in the stores.
Imagine not being able to disagree with the government that serves us.
Imagine not being able to educate our children to a higher level.
Imagine a day without the right to vote.
Please take a few minutes to think of how our lives would be different without the efforts
of many veterans.
Celebrate Veterans Day by finding a veteran and thanking him or her for their efforts in
protecting our Country. It doesn't cost us anything to say thank you and we
appreciate their efforts.
Happy Veterans Day to all of our Executive Veterans!!

The Power of Nice
How can we conquer the business world with kindness?
It seems like every day we can find a reason to get mad or release our frustrations on someone who has failed to meet our expectations. Most of the time getting mad does very little towards resolving the problem and only causes the other party to avoid talking to you in the future.
Perhaps for the next five days we might try not getting mad at anyone and use the same energy on kindly working with others involved to get what we need done together. If the people we do business with like to be around us they may just send you a referral or at least promote one of your listings.
Insanity is defined as “Doing the same thing every day and expecting different results.”
